Hello again!

I must apologise for not keeping this journal updated. There was something wrong with my account, and it took some time to sort out. But so far it seems to be functioning again, so fingers and toes crossed!

Nothing too exciting to report, just wanted to touch base with everyone, especially the students I no longer see every day! I hope those of you now taking college classes are making the adjustment well. Remember, I am always happy to help where I can.

Hoping everyone is well!

The students are in an uproar over the news that Erik Lehnsherr has been given rule of Geonsha, and I can't say I blame them. It seems that the United Nations also moves in mysterious ways. I don't know what the bigger picture is, but it makes me nervous. There are a lot of innocents at the man's mercy now. I pray the Lord keeps watch over Genosha, and over Magneto.

I also worry for the students here. There is other news they have yet to learn, news I myself have only just become privilege too, and I think it will really throw them all for a loop. It seems a friend we though lost is still with us. I am still very, very shocked. There are forces at work here I don't understand.

Again, I pray for hope and guidance.

I arrived back this morning to discover that I missed Thanksgiving. I hear it was a feast to be remembered (and, are those mash potatoes on the ceiling of the kitchen?) but I hope to be here for the Christmas celebrations.

The funeral for Alain was somber, but a true celebration of his life. There were many familiar faces to help remember him, people I have not seen in years. In many ways it seemed like his parting gift to us all was getting many of us together again, to renew old friendships, and to give us an opportunity to meet additions to the old circus family, such as new spouses and kinder. I came away from the remembrance not feeling sad or lost as many do when a friend passes, but with a renewed sense of wonder at the brief time we grace this realm.

It seems like I have returned to more drama at the school. Again I am reminded how difficult it is to be a teenager. I feel sorry for the students who are having a hard time, and hope they will stay their course and sail through it to calmer seas.
Ororo confirmed my new position teaching history and Mutant history. It is good that my years of study in history, world religion and mythology at the University of Berlin might finally pay off! I am still studying through open university to gain my teaching qualifications, but Ororo is confident that I can learn as I go. I hope the students will trust me to open their minds to the fascinating lessons that can be learned from history.

So, I will see many of you in class on Monday!

Sad news

I just heard that an old friend from the Munich Circus passed away very suddenly over the weekend. I am heading home this afternoon to pay my respects, and will probably be gone for about a week.

Good luck to everyone with their exams, and I hope everyone will take care and look after themselves.

Wonderful news

Bobby has woken up again, and he seems to mostly be all right.

I spent some time with him this morning, and it was good to see him awake again. He's having a little trouble with his mobility, and his powers seem a little off, but Hank McCoy has assured him that with practice both of those abilities will return.

I just wanted to ask everyone to give him time. He's been through a terrible shock, and though his body is fine, it's very obvious that his heart is troubled. I hope Rogue will come back to us soon, as that will help put the poor boy's mind at ease. It may be some time yet before we get our old Bobby back.

Also--- toilet paper?! I was puzzled by that, but it did make me smile. Someone went to a lot of trouble!

The only problem is, we're a bit short of toilet paper now... No one eat any sauerkraut!

Sorry I have been tardy at posting this. There has been so much turmoil here that I've been speding a lot of time on the roof, or in the gymnasium, trying to keep out of the drama!

I was very pleased to get to meet Jono, and had a good afternoon getting to know him. I think he is also trying to stay out of everyone else's business.

- Name/Alias: Kurt Wagner/ The Incredible Nightcrawler
- Nicknames: Logan has the charming habit of calling me 'Fuzzy' or 'Elf' and unfortunately it had stuck! Most people just call me Nightcrawler, though.
- Age: 26
- Place of birth: Winzeldorf, Germany
- Powers: Teleportation, enhanced night vision, superhuman agility and reflexes, prehensile tail, ability to stick to walls, blending into shadows,
- Loves: The circus life, trapeze arts, classic hollywood movies, the company of good friends
- Hates: Hate is a very strong word to use, but I dislike people who are too quick to judge.
- Close friends: My foster-sister Amanda, Ororo Munroe, Logan, Kitty
- Favorite singers/bands: I like a variety of music, from German Cabaret style, to Jazz and classic rock.
- What you want to be when you grow up: happy.
- If you were omnipotent for a day, what would you do? A mere mortal like myself could never hope to shoulder the responsibility of the Lord!
- Any other thoughts: I'm very happy to be here, and I hope that we can all learn to be friends. And this includes Miss Blair and Miss Lee.

Take good care

Ororo asked us to discuss how we feel about our classmates, the teachers and our powers. I have given this some thought.

As I am both a teacher and a student here, I will group my classmates with the teachers:
The students here amaze me in both their diversity and abilities, though I do find it difficult to be surrounded be teenagers. I understand that everyone is going through all kinds of difficult adjustments (I remember what that’s like!) but it unsettles me how hard you are on each other.
I hope that we can all learn to work together, and help temper each other for the better.

My fellow teachers honestly astonish me.
Ms Ororo Munroe is truly as beautiful on the inside as on the outside and I feel blessed to count her as a friend.
My heart aches for Scott Summers- one does not need to see his eyes to know how much pain he is in since losing the lovely Dr Grey. I think teaching, and reaching out to the students here will, in time, help him heal.
Ms Frost I do not know well yet, but she seems interesting and formidable.
Dr Hank McCoy is a pleasure to work around, and a fascinating man.
And Logan… he seems rough around the edges, but I’ve seen what a good man he is, and I look forward to getting to know him.

My powers are something that are hard to define. My mutation is mostly physical-and why it is that I happen to resemble a daemon is something I may never understand. As for my teleportation- that is a field of science I will that baffles me!
Despite what you might think, I feel blessed. I may have suffered at times in my life at the hands of the ignorant, but I know it could all be so much worse.
I like who I am, and I enjoy my abilities, and I know the Lord made me who I am for a reason.

I think Ororo's journal idea is lovely. I would very much enjoying getting to know everyone. I'm finding this keyboard a little tricky to use (my hands are designed more for adventure than typing!) so please forgive any typographical errors I make. Also, if my sentences don't flow, please remember that English is not my first language!

And I wanted to thank Miss Kitty for helping me design this page, she made it so lovely and blue (meaning the colour, not the feeling!) though I was baffled by how many other people use the name "Nightcrawler"! -I thought I was the one and only! Instead, I took Kitty's suggestion of blue_bamf!

I am very pleased to be back at the school, but so much has happened during my absence. Everyone has suffered so much loss, and it makes my heart ache, but I know we all have the strength to endure. I pray that everyone will be all right.

I look forward to many adventures here!

-Kurt
